one might consider this one of the most beautifully shot and scripted parkour video ever to be found. even the music that accompanies it is something that’s truly inspiring and captivating; where every rise and fall matches the kind of emotion you get from watching the flips, tricks and leaps.

"I couldn’t see the point of getting up. I had nothing to look forward to."
Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar (via fleshscars)
Which was then why I didn’t even want to go to sleep. Just so I didn’t have to go through that.

I get annoyed with Facebook’s face recognition application. Drives me nuts from time to time whenever I get prompted to tag friends in photos.
But for the students in Miami Ad Hamburg (why couldn’t they have such schools and courses in Singapore and during my time? like really why?), they’ve put this feature to good use.

Ok ok I don’t mean to sound rude but this was just epic. Initially I was thinking that ok, I put the bag in the microwave and all I get is a paperbag sofa.
But then I saw the video and THERE’S POPCORN IN THAT DAMN BAG! Of course it is automatically assumed that popcorn bags WILL have popcorn inside. Butbutbut, call me a skeptic. If it’s an ad, what are the odds that the company would actually put REAL microwave-ready corn kernels inside eh? I mean, that’s just added cost to their whole marketing gimmick.
This is pure genius. Now where can I get me one of those. And I hope the popcorn is buttered.

If someone sent me this, of course I’d be drinking 8 glasses of water everyday.
Turns out I drink only 1/8 glasses each day. No wonder I’m so dehydrated. And yes, it is true, people do forget to drink water when they work. And when they do remember that they’re thirsty, they go for coffee or some other carbonated drink.
Or if you’re h4rdc0r3, you get REDBULL!

ShareThis released a study that found 38 percent of all referral sharing emanates from Facebook. The study, done in conjunction with Starcom MediaVest Group and Rubinson Partners, examined the sharing habits of the 300 million people who use the ShareThis button each month.
The study found sharing now accounts for 10 percent of all internet traffic and 31 percent of referral traffic. Email and Twitter followed Facebook with a combined 17 percent of referral sharing. TwechCrunch has more on the study.

I’ve always felt that our generation is the lucky one. Why lucky? Because we watched the web grow, we watched how technology evolved. And as it matured, we understood the intricacies behind it, the framework, the foundations which made it what it was and eventually helped us build greater things with that knowledge.
All that gibberish has nothing to do with what’s coming next.
I thought this new ad for Chrome from Google was the sweetest thing ever.
I know that I’m not the only one who’s been making use of the interwebs to keep in contact. And I don’t mean just Facebook, Twitter or emails.
What I’ve done?
1. Opened a Tumblr account to note down most of the adventures AD and I went on.
2. Google Docs so that we can keep track of our finances.
3. Twitter, yeah couldn’t quite run away from this. It’s like leaving secret love letters.
Here’s just a few examples. Someday, when we have kids, I might decide to send them a letter for every day, week, month and year. :) I guess one can consider this a virtual family scrapbook.
Just remember to back up.

Sure the iPhone4 has got FaceTime, but I never got around to using it (and that I never really tried it). So when I went for a company trip to Bali and wanted to keep in contact with AD, I could only think of one application:
Skype.
The earlier versions didn’t have videocalls so I assumed that there wouldn’t be any videocalls till… well… I don’t know. So it was pretty surprising to have AD suddenly turn on video and I could see his face and smile despite being at home, miles away from where I was.
Not sure yet if I should be sad or happy that Microsoft bought over Skype. Can only hope for good things from that acquisition.
In other news, if you haven’t seen this ad already, then just watch it for fun. I’m rather amused by all the nerdy glass-wearing semi-dorky people who were featured. Is this like some subtle sign that Skype is for the less-than-cool and FaceTime is for the Apple sheeps?
Or that I’m really just talking rubbish.
One last word, if the only place in the hotel room where you’re at is the lobby, be prepared to laugh, giggle and potentially make a complete fool of yourself.
But if you’re every bit in love and miss the other person on the line so much, then you’re prolly not giving a shit if you do look like an idiot :)
Also, make sure you’re in a strong-wifi-connection area. Because with video, it can get very laggy and chances of dropped calls are really high.

If you’re a frequent user of Instagram, then you should be no stranger to Webstagram. However, I’ve something even better and looks so much more prettier than that.
Hullo Extragram.
You make my feeds look classy and pretty. Plus, I can actually log in instead of seeing the same page over and over again (which was the technical glitch I kept facing in Webstagram).
Choose between grids or filmstrip when you view your feeds or popular posts. I like the response page. It’s like a chatbox but a lot classier.
The only problem I have is that the site is a bit too dark. Maybe if the colour was just 1 degree lighter, could make a difference.
